After some family & r+r time another busy stretch After some family & r+r time another busy stretch is upon us; this week the mini tour with Burton Cummings begins, as well as smack dab in the middle of it all, I've got my own tour finale in Nanaimo at the Lighthouse this Friday. We're also working away on artwork & video concepts for my next single, and the full album, which we will be able to reveal more news on soon. Today, it's time to clean out the ol trusty van & polish up the good boots. Hello my BC - and I'm this case, Nanaimo - friends Hello my BC - and I'm this case, Nanaimo - friends! Most of the dates with the great Burton Cummings are near or completely sold out, but if you're in Nanaimo, Uncle Joel Spillette & I have some unfinished business to take care of at the Lighthouse on May 26th - that's just over a week away! This is our final date of our Western Canadian Tour, and we'd love to wrap it up in style. Now I know the weather is getting dandy, and it's hard to wanna head inside when it's nice... but the Lighthouse-view and the songs and the vibes are gonna make it a night to remember. It's gonna be a busy couple of weeks, and I can't wait to hit the road again... My gal just wrapped a multi-week stand play at Lad My gal just wrapped a multi-week stand play at Ladysmith's Little Theatre - she killed it in the role of Willa May Wilcox, and it was great to have all our family members see it at different points of the run... Happy Mother's Day Most of these shots were taken Happy Mother's Day Most of these shots were taken a few months back for my Mom's 65th; my wife Cathleen - also a Mom btw - put this party together for her mother in law, after hearing her say in passing that she wished she could go back to Hawaii one day. We brought Hawaii to Mom & laughed and chilled at a tacky tiki bar for hours. What a great day... and it all happened because of Mom's. #mothersday

Over the years, I've had the good fortune to have warmed up audiences for the likes of Barney Bentall, Burton Cummings, Buffy Ste Marie, Tom Wilson, Aaron Pritchett, & many many other outstanding, legendary performers. I've always enjoyed the challenge of being the barrier between the audience & the true reason that they are in the building to begin with... the goal is to get them on your side early, show them who you are & get their toes tappin and get outta dodge before they start getting squirmy for their headliner. It's an art in itself. Thanks to all the gems who have trusted me with their audiences!

It's been a month since I got home from tour, and It's been a month since I got home from tour, and if we've been pretty quiet over here it's because we're working on all things behind the scenes... it's the stuff you don't see. Record artwork, choosing the next single, booking more shows & so much more... The weather is about to switch itself to the gorgeous setting here on Vancouver Island, and I'm trying to balance work with peace acquisitions as much as I can - I hiked with a friend yesterday and it was a perfect morning to get my head out of music biz stuff and onto simply being alive & out in the woods of my home. This month I've taken the time to take my time with it all. All this is to say that we've got some cool announcements coming over the next few weeks and months... new album news, and more concert dates coming...
