Alright Alright Let’s Go.

I’ll keep this one brief. This operation has activity happening at all the stations right now.  It’s February 2nd and I’m still in feverish writing mode, preparing for my final recording sessions, which are coming up in early April.

There’s a new tour to prepare for – “Under the Influence” – which will see me rolling out 50/50 (originals/covers) material across Western Canada in April.  I’m really excited about that one – I get to create new setlists every night that feature my tunes, but also songs that have inspired me from when I was a kid right up to present day…. everything from Bobby Fuller 4 to Nirvana to Gillian Welch will be visited – you never know what you’re gonna get on any given night, and I love that format.  I hope you do too!

New tours & the impending 2026 summer season means new merchandise!  I’m so happy to continue my collaborative relationship with Strong & Free, from right here on Vancouver Island.  These folks have been so good to me over the past couple of years, and keep me in cool ‘wearables’ & swag while I criss-cross the land.

I am entering 2026 inspired, despite all the division & anger & unrest in this world, because as Jesse Welles said on a red carpet no less than 20 hours ago: “It’s our innate duty of a feeling to be optimistic…. not to grow cynical…”
